Okay, so you're hot on the trail of becoming an accomplished poker player and you figure if you can get your hands on some hot online poker tips, that you will be good to go. Well, hold up a minute....before you jump off the deep end looking for online poker tips, you must learn how to play poker correctly. None of these online poker tips will do you any good if you don't have the basic tenets of the game down and have a good idea of how the game play takes place.
Pretty simple stuff really, when you first start out playing, because you are in a watch and learn mode even as you go through the motions of play. Be prepared to lose most of your games the first few times you play because you don't quite yet grasp what is happening around you and what all the values of the hands are, or how to bluff effectively.

If you have a pretty good knowledge of the game, doing this will help you learn the game and to learn it well, you may have to stay through a few hands where you lose everything...but it's like everything else in life...it's a learning experience.
